Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Sachdev

Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Sachdev is presently serving as Director – Post Graduate Studies, I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad (Delhi-NCR). He has 33 years of rich work experience encompassing academics, administrative, research and clinical practices. After graduating from Bangalore University (1980) and obtaining post graduation from PGIMER of first order, Chandigarh (1983), he has held a number of key positions in organizations of repute including the Indian Dental Association and the HP State Dental Council. He is amongst the founding members of the Indian Society of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry (ISPPD) and has been a coveted member of its journal committee in the year 1984, 1989 and 1992. He held the post of General Secretary for Indian Society of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry (ISPPD) from1990-92. He has more than 55 publications, 53 paper presentations, 4 book contributions and 30 research projects as a mentor to his credit. His major areas of interest incorporates, evidence based Pediatric Endodontics, Functional Orthodontics and Oral Epidemiology including Preventive Dentistry. Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Sachdev is a much acclaimed examiner for the universities, pan India, that includes MDU Rohtak, RGUHS Bangalore, MAIDS New Delhi, to name a few.

His editorial experience consists of, (magazine secretary for Student Association of Dental College, Bangalore; Co-Editor, IJDS, official publication of HPU and Assistant Editor, JISPPD. Owing to his myriad of contributions towards the Speciality of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, he has been conferred the distinguished ‘Star Pedodontist Award’.
